Overview

Opportunity: Human Resources Manager

Manage human resource functions for the hotel and its staff, including recruitment, training and development, benefit administration, and employee relations.

Essential Job Functions

1. Work with hotel managers to hire, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
2. Manage and perform talent acquisition functions such as posting jobs, proactively sourcing candidates, interviewing, and ensuring the selection of the most qualified candidates.
3. Coordinate with HHM centralized People Support functional teams to ensure benefits, compensation, leave of absence, training, and employee relations programs are effectively communicated and administered at the property level.
4. Process new hire onboarding and terminations consistent with established standards and applicable laws and regulations.
5. Perform employee relations activities to create a positive work culture, ensure fairness, and provide unbiased assistance with associate issues and concerns.
6. Develop and/or implement training programs as needed to meet brand standards.
7. Engage in activities that foster a culture recognizing and rewarding good performance and celebrating workforce diversity.
8. Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHMs EarthView program.
9. Assist with HRIS and Payroll system functions to ensure timely and accurate pay periods.
10. Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
11. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
